Entered as ornamental, but it is the pool that is ornamental not
the leadwork. However, the skill required to produce this
lining for the pool, which is at National Trust Cragside Estate
Gardens in Northumberland, deserves a special award.
The judges were very impressed with the bossing and the lead
welding skill required to fabricate and fix the lead sections, as
seen in these photographs. I am sure that all lead-workers
will agree that this special award is well deserved.
