Calder Industrial Materials Ltd

Calder's Chester operation was founded for the Napoleonic wars, giving us a great deal of experience in the manufacture of lead products, lead parts and components. We are recognised as an industry leader in a diverse range of markets including construction, automotive, chemical, medical, nuclear, research, defence, leisure, and steel industries.

The highest standards in quality assurance procedures are adopted at all stages of production, with manufacturing procedures accredited to ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.

Chester

The operation in Chester consists of two new, purpose built units focused on manufacturing sheet lead and engineering lead products. These production units represent the first significant investment in new lead production facilities in Europe in over 50 years.

Chester is also home to the sales administration office for engineered lead products.

Gateshead

When the manufacturing of lead sheet for buildings and the construction industry relocated to Chester from Newcastle upon Tyne, the Calder lead sheet sales administration team remained in the North East.
